WILLIAMS Walter

Walter Williams took over the blacksmith's shop from James Bell. Walter was married to Florence Mildwaters. Their family consisted of Frank, Jack, Phyllis, Nita and Edna.
Frank was the first male child born in Gnowangerup. His mother was attended by Mrs. James Bell (the first midwife).
Edna married Doug Banks of Borden and Phyllis married Jack Strong, who was the manager of the butter factory in Gnowangerup until it closed down. The factory was situated opposite the showground near the railway line on the corner of Borden Road.
